The view from my care home’s room is particularly splendid this year as we’ve had so much rain. There are so many different shades of green, from silvery greenish-grey to the dark green of the fir trees above the farmer’s field. The river Tyne runs through it and there’s a weir which was the fullest I’ve seen it in the two years I’ve been here. It’s one of the best views in the Home and is in a quiet spot, with no traffic noise.
